Max Payne is an employee of the Anti-Drug Administration and has absolutely nothing to complain about. He has everything you need for happiness: a loving wife and child, a wonderful job. In a word, it's a real American dream, but it all ends unexpectedly on the day when a psychopath kills his family. Now Max has only one goal - to find the killer and take revenge on him. However, the situation is complicated by the fact that Max was unfairly accused of murder, so now he is open to real hunt. In this situation, Max already has nothing to lose and he is determined to go to the end.
