The main character, having worked as a special agent in the CIA for a long time, leaves the service. However, even in peaceful life, he continues to stand on the side of truth and justice. One day Robert McCall goes to the southern part of Italy for personal reasons. Soon he finds out that his friends are in trouble and are now at the complete mercy of a local criminal gang. The hero decides to help them and enters into a confrontation with the Sicilian mafia.
