The plot of the film develops in Texas, in June 1980. Crime in this region is growing at a frantic pace, and criminals themselves are becoming increasingly cruel and inhuman. The protagonist Llewelyn Moss, a veteran of the Vietnam War, goes on a hunt near the Rio Grande. There he stumbles upon a mountain of corpses, shot cars, drugs and a lot of money. Apparently this was another shootout between gangs of drug dealers. Llewelyn takes money with him and after that the main character starts problems from which he can not escape...
