Detective Ray Velkoro (Colin Farrell) from the California town of Vinci investigates the mysterious disappearance of the city administration employee. The officer went missing the day before the meeting with the mayor in which he had to submit plans for a new line of high-speed tram. Along with Ray leading the investigation detectives Paul Woodrow (Taylor Kitsch) and Eni Bezzeraydes (Rachel McAdams). Also, the police joined the missing partner Frank Simeon (Vince Vaughn) - a professional criminal who seeks to start a legitimate business.
