The Narrator of the story is a typical yuppie. He is thirty and he is a hired worker. He also suffers from insomnia, and can not determine where the dream, and where it is. Instead of medicines, the doctor offers him to go in for sports and periodically visit a group of testicular cancer patients. A visit to this group should prove to the narrator what is real anguish, and that he should understand that his insomnia is trivial in comparison with cancer.
