The most ordinary man named Mike Sullivan lives the life of a typical American 30-ies of the 20th century. He's a good family man, a loving and caring father, a responsible worker. But his eldest son Michael is constantly worried about where his father always went by car every morning, and what strange people surround him in smart suits and with a sly glint in his eyes. One curiosity that Michael has the upper hand and the boy gets in the back seat of the car of the father, where he became a witness to his real work. Mike Sullivan is a real gangster who performs the most delicate and important assignment, after which just should not be unnecessary witnesses.
