The US Marshal Service annually flies 155,000 prisoners around the country for transfers, legal hearings, medical exams and from prison to prison. One day a group of the most desperate and dangerous criminals in the history of American justice are assembled aboard the plane. They are transferred to a new prison with the strictest possible security. Newly freed prisoner Cameron Poe also finds himself on a plane, he is flying as soon as possible to meet his wife Tricia and get to the birthday of their eight-year-old daughter, whom he has never seen. But Cameron becomes embroiled in an airplane hijacking orchestrated by the dangerous recidivist Cyrus Grissom, aka Virus.
