Alan Grant is a paleontologist by profession and a desperate adventurer, accepting the offer of wealthy entrepreneur Paul Kirby and his wife Amanda to tour the famous island Sorna. It turns out that on the island some time ago the son of Paul Kirby disappeared - Eric and the search for the boy is the real goal of this trip to the island of dinosaurs. The plane of the main characters crashes, so they immediately lose the opportunity to go back. Soon they manage to find Eric, who still survived in such dangerous conditions. The most terrible thing is that dinosaurs managed to become stronger, smarter and much more dangerous than they were before. Now the heroes have to go through many obstacles to come out as winners in this game of survival.
