Bernie is a pathological loser, he is not terribly lucky in life, but for this property he is hired to work in one of the casinos of Las Vegas. He plays the role of a special brake, which sits to the very successful players and it spoils their luck. Besides Bernie needs this casino a large sum of money, so he just chained him better than iron chain. One day he meets a waitress Natalie, who is rumored to bring good fortune. Between them has an affair, and Bernie ceases to be a loser. In a short time he fully paid the debt of the casino and decides to leave together with his lover, but it interferes with the local mafia, which is controlled by the institution.
