Jackson Maine - a musician who is going through a difficult period. His career is sharply declining and the last show is not very successful. Trying to escape from the problems, he goes into a small bar, where he meets a pretty singer Ally. The girl has just the perfect voice, from which it is impossible to break away. Jackson is convinced that her place is on the big stage, and not in the passing bar. He decides to help her build a career, and after a while they realize that they are in love with each other. In a couple of all turns out, and Ally pretty quickly conquers musical Olympus, overshadowing all the achievements of Maine.
