The film is based on real story and tells the story of the famous animator, director and producer of Walt Disney. For twenty years he has been trying to get the film rights to the book "Mary Poppins", the publication of which in 1934 brought fame and success of the English writer Pamela Lyndon Treves. This work daughters loved Disney, and he promised them that he would do everything possible to bring this amazing story to the screen. However, it was not very easy, lingering on for twenty years, since Lyndon rejected the most favorable offer. At one point, Walt managed to achieve a personal meeting with the writer, which he expected to finally resolve this issue.
