Josh is an ordinary American guy. He studies at Ithaca College, he has three best friends — pervert E.L., drug lover Rubin and dreamer Barry and also a beloved girl who lives in Austin, Texas. But one day Josh cheats on his passion, and the process of cheating is recorded on tape. Moreover, instead of a tape with a declaration of love, he sends his girlfriend this ill-fated recording. Trying to save the situation at all costs, Josh leaves Barry to feed the snake, takes E.L., Rubin and Kyle with him (his father has a car that his friends need so much and they go on road adventures in it) and rushes across America to intercept the tape before she will fall into the hands of his girlfriend.
