Nellie McKay (Nell Marie McKay) was born on April 13, 1984 in London, England, but grew up in America. Nellie is the daughter of actress Robin Pappas. When she was 2 years old, Nellie's family moved to Manhattan, New York and then to the Poconos, Pennsylvania before returning to New York in 2000. McKay attended the Manhattan School of Music but dropped out, continuing however to pursue her music career.
