At the age of 10, a tragedy happens in Cady's life. A car accident takes the lives of her parents. The girl is brought up by her aunt Gemma. But the woman is too absorbed in her career and is not used to spending time with children. Of course, she does not want to change her already habitual lifestyle because of Cady, and the woman finds an unusual solution to her problem. The accelerated development of robotics allows her to use a mechanical doll that looks very similar to an ordinary child. Now with the new M3GAN model, it seems that all difficulties will be eliminated, but everything turns out quite the opposite. The robot receives a task from its owner: to protect the life and health of Cady, which artificial intelligence understands completely in its own way.
