The action of the film begins to develop in October in 1957. It was during this momentous era that the Soviet Union launched the first satellite into Earth orbit. A young creature named Homer Hickam from a small mining town learned about the launch of Sputnik on the radio. And Homer became so obsessed with space that he decided to build his own rocket. In the creation of the rocket, the boy was helped by his friends and classmates. But Homer's father was categorically against his son's obsession, he wanted his son to continue his business and become a miner.
