My Life in Ruins / Моё большое греческое лето (моя жизнь в руинах) (2009)

Georgia, an American of Greek origin, works in Greece as a tourist guide. She is a historian by education, a specialist in ancient classics. Therefore, its program is saturated with some historical facts, from which tourists get tired and dream of swimming on the beach and running through local souvenir shops. After working for a year at a job she hates, she wants to return back to America, but at the very last moment, an unexpected love flares up makes her stay and enjoy Greece. "My Life in Ruins" is the first film in the last 50 years, which was shot in the Acropolis of Athens. The Greek government allowed the shooting, considering that such a film would help promote Greek culture in the world.
