For unknown reasons, a series of mass suicides are occurring in the northeastern United States. At first, people become disoriented, then they stop moving and find any way to kill themselves. The original version was a biological attack by terrorists, but it soon becomes clear that this is something else. Elliott Moore, after the outbreak begins, immediately sets off on the road with his family. But along the way, they get into the infection zone. Their train on which they were going to escape stops. Soon, he and several survivors manage to get to a small town, where it becomes known that the epidemic managed to affect all nearby settlements. Now they are desperately trying to survive and find a way out of this situation.
