The film's protagonist prefers to live alone. He wanders along with his trained mule from village to village giving presentations of Shakespeare. All ruled by the tyrant general Bethlehem. His army collects tribute and recruits from all who are trying to live peacefully.
The hero of the film forcibly taken into the army general, but he fled and found in the jeep the skeleton of a mailman, wearing his uniform and took the bag of letters. Arriving at one of the camps, he introduced himself as a postman of the new revived United States of America.
People believed him, also in town he found his love... Dozens of followers of the postman began to deliver letters, which led to an armed clash forces general with a new army of Freedom.
