13-year-old Amy Alden gets into a car accident where her mother dies. Her father Thomas goes for the girl and takes her in Ontario. Amy is still in shock after the incident and it is difficult for her to get used to the father and new life. The girl hadn't seen Thomas since then, as he moved with his mother to New Zealand at the age of three years. Soon Amy learns that dad has a girlfriend Susan, who lives with him, but the girl makes it clear that he is not going to welcome her in my life. After a while Amy slowly begins to adapt to a new life. Once the girl discovers near the broken nest of canadian geese, in which were the eggs. Amy takes them home and saves from death.
