The film is based on real events and tells the story of the investigation of journalists of the newspaper The Boston Globe. On the investigation insisted the new editor Marty Baron, who literally demanded that the employees in the organization to study the abuse of those who actually have to preach the struggle for the preservation of moral values. A group of journalists headed by Walter Robertson starts promotion scandalous case of the presence in the ranks of the church of pedophile priests.
