The film tells about the life and work of Bob Marley, a legendary Jamaican musician, thanks to whom the reggae music genre and Jamaican culture became world famous. The plot covers Bob's youth, the beginning of his rise to fame and the later period of his work — up to the death of the musician. The film reveals his worldview and views on the role of music in people's lives, shows his relationship with his family and with the public, as well as the difficulties he had to face in his career — including an attempt on his life.
