At the end of the 20th century, the Manhattan district of New York City turned into an isolated zone, a high-security prison in which dangerous criminals are placed. There is no security inside this fenced area, but it is impossible to get out of there. And in the dungeons of the American prison, its own small state was formed. One day, in the midst of World War III, the US president's plane crashes right in Manhattan. The head of state rescued in a special capsule and remains alive, and is captured by criminals led by the "Duke". To save the president, a dangerous criminal, Snake Plissken, a war hero, is dropped into Manhattan. He is promised a full amnesty if he saves an important person in 24 hours. And if he doesn't make it in time, death awaits him.
