Fat Chris Brander was secretly in love with his close friend Jamie Palamino. And so at the school graduation, the guy decides to admit it to her, but fails. Disgraced, Chris leaves his native New Jersey. Ten years have passed. Chris, who lost weight, became a music producer in Los Angeles. He is very popular with women. However, he adheres to the main principle with everyone: never go into the friend zone. While traveling to Paris, Chris's plane makes an emergency landing in his native New Jersey. At a local bar, Brander accidentally meets Jamie and realizes that he is still in love with her.
