In search of an unusual gift for his son Billy, an inventor father found an amazing and the cutest creature in an unknown store - a Mogwai. The bug-eyed baby's name was Gizmo, and the care of him fell to the neglectful young man. Billy failed to follow three simple rules: do not feed Gizmo after midnight, hide him from bright lights and water. The teenager's mistake led to irreversible consequences - the kindly Gizmo gave birth to horrible monsters, gremlins. They were not distinguished by a good temper and wanted to kill everyone who got in their way. The cruel little guys began to terrorize a small American town on Christmas Eve, threatening to turn a bright holiday into a bloody massacre.
