The film takes place in 1987 in a small Californian town. Bumblebee hides from pursuit and finds refuge in a car dump, near which eighteen-year-old Charlie lives. She strives to find her place in life, making big plans for the future. It is this girl who comes across a crumpled and broken Autobot, not even suspecting what she has to deal with. Bringing him to his senses, Charlie instantly realizes that there was not a simple yellow Volkswagen Beetle in her way. Now her life will never be the same and she has to go through many dangerous adventures...
